Anyone know what the highest temp the pcb and gpu will take on a evga gtx 260?
I've overclocked using the evga precision using the super clocked specs runs at same temp s default. I've raised the clock on everything but leaving the voltage at 1.20 same temps. Benchmarking with Evga OC software frames go down as I raise the OC. I'm getting 33 frames with the utility at 1920 x 1080 1080p. However running Anisotropic at x2, anti-aliasing on control by application, every other setting is performance based. Run MW3 running textures on Auto-matic and Normal I max according to Fraps capped at 90 with some frame rate drop to 80 running on win7 64 bit at the 260 super clocked specs. Score higher than spec with 3Dmark Vantage with a i5 2500k at 4.44 ghz. Was running 2 x 260 sli, but my older one died this last weekend. Temps are in the mid 50s to low 60s.
Anything under 90 is okay IIRC, but can't find temp limits on evga's website. I was yesterday about to run out and buy a new card, but was waiting for the Kepler to come out. I'm assuming the median priced card will run $300 which I am not sure if I'll be able to afford. Not wanting to kill the card before I can decide what I'm going to buy.
