so im getting kingston hyperx genenis 1600mhz ram

how much do i have to overlock my 960t to make the ram work at 1600mhz?

240MHz system clock -- use DDR3 1600
250MHz system clock -- use DDR3 1333

That's yer sweet spots.

You do not need to overclock the CPU to make the RAM work at 1600MHz just set the memory multiplier to the correct speed.

I believe his point is that you must enter the BIOS and manually set your RAMs speed, and possibly timings, when using DDR3 1600.

The system clocks I listed allow you to manipulate the memory dividers thereby keeping your RAMs at spec speed.

6.67x240MHz = DDR3 1600
5.33x250MHz = DDR3 1333
