Hi,
to start off here is my build:

Asus M5A97
AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Processor
Western Digital Caviar Black 500 GB SATA III
Liteon iHAS324 24X DVD-RW SATA Optical Disk Drive
SAPPHIRE 100338L Radeon HD 6770 1GB
Antec Three Hundred Gaming Case
Thermaltake TR2 W0388RU 600W Power Supply
2x-CORSAIR XMS 4GB DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333

I currently am just using the AMD stock cooler. I would like to get a nice aftermarket cooler that is preferably below $50.00 I have been looking at several of the Cooler Master heatsinks and basically the two I tend to keep looking back to is the Cooler master 212 Evo and the Cooler master V6. I have searched the web for hours now only to keep stumbling upon even more and doing research and then finding out they are no good and or not knowing of if it would block my ram slots etc clearance issues.

I would like to stay with air cooling and basically like i said under the $50.00 amount.
The two places that I would be purchasing from is either Amazon.com or Newegg.com
Thanks!

You don't think its worth searching for something better for the price? From what I've seen nothing really bad about the 212 Evo though either.

the temp decrease going from 212 plus to 212 evo is only about 2-5 degrees depending on how you apply your thermal paste, dont know about you but 3 degrees isnt worth 10 extra bucks. if you throw on a push pull it will cost about the same but out perform it.

sorry about that, neweggs prices would make it a bit more than the 212 evo i thaught the 212+ was 24.99 but the outperformance still stands

Well I can get the plus for 30 bucks on newegg.

The evo is only 5 bucks more wouldn't it be stupid not to get the evo?

Thanks! Think I will go ahead and order it. Thermal compound sufficient that comes with the cooler? Or should I order some other like Artic Silver 5?

Newegg is offering Corsair A70. It has 2 fans and performs better than the hyper 212. There is a rebate and the final price is $20. Corsair has alright rebate. I sent one in I did get a card back.
