I am wondering...

I have an Asus GTX470 voltage tweak with a Zalman aftermarket cooler and a pretty nice OC tested and proofed with Furmark.

What I found is that I can either have a core or 750MHz and a memory clock of 1900MHz or a core clock of 800+MHz combined with a lower memory clock of 1750MHz.

I am curious wether it is better to go for a higher core clock or a higher memory clock if it comes to gaming. Or is it best to find some middle ground settings?

Whats the Reference Clocks? I need to know how much of a boost each clock would be over stock. if you just boost the memory a bit and the clock at maybe 775. I mean the 470 is still a good card. so the best option would be enough anyways

I agre that the 470 still is a nice card so I am just curious what would give the best performance boost... I higher core clock, a higher memory clock or something in the middle...

I have had the card running on 750CC and 1900MC without failure or I can run 830CC with 1750MC without failure. 830CC with 1900MC causes instability so is a no go... but say I could run it at 775CC and 1800MC would that be better then either of the other two options.

these are my current settings:
