I m a newbie, i have no idea how to overclock my core2duo 2.0ghz E4400 CPU... please guide me thoroughly... if u can...

mercury 9i945gcm motherboard

intel e4400 2.0 core duo

512 mb ram

I have never heard of your motherboard. It may not allow you to overclock. You will also need good cooling to overclock. The best thing you can do to your computer is add RAM! 512MB was great....back in 2003.

What few Mercury motherboard I have seen have no provisions for overclocking.
