Could Overclocking the CPU cause graphics issues?

Forum Overclocking : General Discussion Could Overclocking the CPU cause graphics issues?

I have recently built a new gaming computer to run Battlefield 3.
I have experienced artifacts in the graphics while playing. This may happen after a few minutes, or sometimes I can play for quite some time before having an issue.

I generally have both my GTX560Ti and Phenom II X6 1100t overclocked. And what I did notice a couple times is that when I run my Phenom at stock settings, the issue seems to be less or none existant. However, whether I overclock my GTX560ti or not seems to make no difference.

So the big question is. Could overclocking my CPU cause graphics in BF3?

Oh, sorry. I have a Thermaltake 850watt PSU.

Also, just upgraded my mobo and processor. The problem was basically the same on both systems. First set up was an ASUS M5A88-M and Phenom II X6 1075. And now it is an ASUS Crosshair V Formula and Phenom II X6 1100t. Same GTX560Ti though.
