Hi guys, i was looking at overclocking my CPU and found that my motherboard has a feature which allows me to "unlock cpu cores" and with further reading, i found that with some simple BIOS tweaks, i can upgrade from quad core, to hex core. So i followed these instructions:

http://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=132314.0

However, i was still only given the option for four cores which i already have, and not to upgrade to 6 cores?

Could anyone give me some guidance, i would appreciate it a lot!

Thanks :)

i think that your phenom, like mine has all cores already unlocked.

If you had a phenom X3 , you might be able to unlock a core.
