Hey people,

Im currently using a i5 760 which i hav'nt oc'd. But my temps are just way to high
idle: 60

On a game like WoW im sitting on around 75 to 82.

Im currently using a Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro Rev 2 CPU Cooler which is constantly running at 100%

My case also has a big chassis fan sitting at the front with a small fun to the rear.

All my fans are running at 100% but my case is also sitting in a cabinet so i mounted a huge extractor fan which is always on.

My question is then, is this because of a budget cpu cooler or not enough air flow?

My case cant have anymore fans too..

Thanks

Try reapplying your thermal paste and make sure the CPU cooler makes good contact with the surface of the chip.

ok will try that tar

Also take it out of the cabinet that may be the problem, it needs somewhere to draw air in after all.

i agree try reapplying the thermal paste and moving it out of the cabinet that alone should cool it down some

So ive reapplied the paste and temps are around 60 at 40% load which it never goes over but is 60c right? Would changing the cpu cooler bring it down anymore?

I'd consider buying a new case with better airflow.
