My ATI 6990 crashes when I open Catalyst. what happens is, when opening catalyst fan speed increases very very very much, and suddenly appears either white or blue screen. I should mention that I upgraded from ATI 6870, and power supply from 650 W to 1200 W which is the recomended by AMD. Any help?

- All could have happened, PCIE socket motherboard bad or dying, or power supply is not murrni, wrong driver
- Make sure that the HD6990 is not problematic, premises to be tried on another computer, if the HD 6990 problem immediately call the vendor.
- Check the installation and socket and wired properly, especially the power cable pins from the PSU.
- Or you can try to uninstall the driver and soft OC the GPU, make sure all clean from the system. either a folder or subfolder / registry CCC / ATI. etc
- Install the driver again and the newest update from AMD
