Im following the 3 step guide to oc my i7 960 and i sort of get confused at the isolate ram from bclk part i have to force a low multiplier.i have a X58a gd45 msi mobo.so what is it i have to lower ram ratio or uncore ratio? Uncore ration ranges from 6 to 24 and ram ratio from 3 to 8 . Right now theyre both set to auto

your uncore is double what your ram speed is. if your ram is 1333, your uncore needs to be at 2666. but, if you set your ram freq, leaving uncore on auto should match it for you. if it doesnt, set it, and check the numbers with some good old math.
