Core Voltage: 1.44V seem too high try drop to 1.38-1.4 if can get stable

K, I do not know if this changes your opinion but I uped the multi to 235 to get to 3.5Ghz, core temp after 6 hours of gaming is at 55.5 steady, I do not think that is high, I read anything over 60 celcius is bad, also I put my ram timings in auto to see what would happen and it put them back at stock 9, just curisous what you guys would run it at, they have hearshrinks, and are mid level G.skill ddr3.

overclock not sticking to the temperature of Games, but based on the stability test like Prime95 at 100% fulload. but you get the RAM is good, was in 1600 with the objec CL8 overclocked it is enough

sorry didnt relize I left out the important detail. The ram in the 8-8-8 etc..timings once I went to 3.5ghz became unstable and I got blue screens everytime. Any Idea why?

try at 1333 with 9-9-9-24 first

Reply to henydiah

The stock is 1600mhz 9-9-9-24, and like I said with Prime 95 it was stable at 8-8-8-21 with 3.4ghz but 3.5 it wont even get into windows...

i know 1600 , but you raise FSB will auto raise FSB RAM too, it means your RAM ran over 1600 maybe 1800. check it

Well I am already at 9-9-9-24, I want to get back to 8, and curenttly according to cpu-z frequency is 780, so thats 1560 correct? So a hair under 1600mhz. NB is 2106.

Below I cut out alot of the useless stuff but is a copy of my cpuz report, thanks for all the help in advace guys.

What about this, I just set it up and might be out of left field, but it allowed me to get the settings to a more "standard" rate, I took the multiplier down to 14 since I cant go up, and then put the Bus at 250, so now it is a perfect 3.5mhz. Then this allowed me to set the ram for 1333mhz and put my timings at 8-8-8-24-32, FSB is 2000, core voltage is still at 1.44 I am going to try and take that down some maybe. What do u think?

your original OC was good, I had my 945 stable at very similar settings. if everything was stable at 3.4, RAM@1532 I think that is a very reasonable OC for that chip. I wasn't able to get mine above 3.5GHz anyway, plus it was not at rock solid stable as my 3.4OC
