Hey guys,

This may be slightly off topic as I am not planning on overclocking my computer yet, but I figured this section was most appropriate for my question!

I'm building a gaming computer and I was wondering if I would have conflicts now or in the future in terms of space..

I'm planning on getting the following parts

Motherboard
ASUS P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS

My primary question is whether or not a 120mm fan will interfere with my Memory on that motherboard if I were to put 4 sticks with heat sinks on them in there.. for example..

I've read that some people have conflicts while others do not depending on this or that. Without actually having seen any of these parts personally I was hoping that someone around would be able to verify whether or not that combination of 4xMemory/CPU Fan would cause any kind of issue with one another in terms of space. Buy this memory http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6820233197 and COOLERMASTER Hyper 212 and you will not have any problem because the RAM is low profile

This is my first computer build.. A lot of the memory that I have seen has the "teeth" on top of it as a method of cooling (apparently). Will getting low profile memory that does not have this feature have a heating issue? I won't be overclocking immediately after I build the system, however I would like have that option open in the future. I'm not sure if that makes a difference.

the corsair low profile will be fine

its the cpu you will be overclocking as memory speed over 1600mhz doesnt really make much difference on that

platform anyway

Will this ram work with my selected motherboard?

When you look at the details for the motherboard on newegg (see the link below) it says..
"Channel Supported: Dual Channel"

However, this memory says it is quad channel.. does this matter?

no it doesnt matter because you are using 4 modules so its basically dual channel twice

what it means is you shouldnt use 1 or 3 modules only even amounts of modules

Buy a low profile kit and you'll have no issues with heatsink install.
Take your pic.= exactly the same performance as the kit you linked sans fins.
