[Solved] Radiator Delta did I got it right ?

made a few research about the TDP or an i5-2500k at 4.7GHz with the formula found in the sticky: OC Wattage = TDP * ( OC MHz / Stock MHz) * ( OC Vcore / Stock Vcore )^2

Got 151w as result but nobody seems to agree about the Vcore needed for that OC so I've rounded it 175w

I'll be running CF 7970 at 214w each according to :http: //forums.atomicmpc.com.au/index.php?showtopic=264

mean I'm at 603W

With a flow rate of 1.6 (wich seem somewhat a standard if I got it right) my best bet would be Thermochill PA120 3.15mm so I could run a somewhat silent system at around 1900RPM ?

You are about right on that...nice work. However, I don't think you are going to find a TC PA around anymore. You'll likely need to look at using 2 radiators that will meet this load.

Just to note- 1900 rpm fans will depend on what you actually choose. They'll likely be fairly noisy.

Yeah this is what I was afraid of. But how would I calcule the heat dissiped by 2x radiator ? Also I'm not sure how to translate fan speed and noise ? What RPM is considered a silent set-up ?

You determine the amount of heat able to be dissipated by the radiators you are looking at and calculate that way.

Less than 1000 rpm is pretty quiet; most people run 1200-1500 rpm fans. Noise level is pretty subjective, so it really depends on what your idea of 'silent' actually means. If you want to be able to hear your pump running and HDD's spinning, you'll want to over-rad and use low speed fans designed for lower FPI rads.

K so a single "Aquacomputer Airplex Revolution" have a C/W of about 0.038 at 600RPM.

So I guess that 2x this rad will net a 0.038 / 2 = 0.019 ?

If thats the case for a 600w CPU + GPU I'd be at 11.52 or am I mistaken into the math behind ?

Most thick rads will get you around 575-600 watts with 1800-2000 rpm fans.

One thing to note, most AquaComputer gear is designed for lower flow pumps- the tubing and channels in their rads is more restrictive than most rads. This is a European design vs. US design.

Two fat 360's with some Gelid blue wings should see you pretty close to silent,
What case are you building with and would you consider a larger external rad set away from the Pc?

I plan to go with the mainstream corsaire 800d: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6811139001

I'd like to be able to run my set-up with 2x triple fans rad like these: http://skinneelabs.com/2011-2012-radiator-comparison/ (I like what you can do with these rad but I might consider 3x 1800m rad if they fit the case.)

I realy want a nice looking and silent set-up that can run a monster PC without overheating and money shouldn't be a problem.

P.S. is the lower flow rate of the aquacomputer would realy cause a problem to such a noob as me ?

Then by all means, get them. I'd choose different radiators for less cost and almost identical performance as you'll never be able to differentiate between the radiators you'd choose between.

If it's eye candy you are after, AC rads are very nice to look at.

Check out the water gallery, I'm pretty sure theres at least one case on there with a couple of 360's mounted on the backside panel,
I'm looking at http://www.watercoolinguk.co.uk/p/ [...] 18166.html soon to add to my collection/monolith, I did favour the RX360 but the bleed screw and port options, (not to mention the price) swung it for me,
I can't think for the life of me for an Aussie modding site though sorry, I know a couple but brains failing today hehe

No, I believe he was hitting 65, before adding the extra fans
it will take some tweaking no matter what you decide on though, its the nature of the pursuit, always searching for that little bit of an improvement

I have two 320's and get really good temps...when it comes to radiators, more is better and you really can never get enough.
