Hi........I have an HP Pavilion a630n from a Big Box Store, I just reformatted the hard drive and did a fresh XP Home Edition install. I have updated the Bios from HP's site as is recommended by these forums but what about the chip set drivers? should I use HP's which are 5years old or use new ones from Intel? It is an Asus PTGD1-LA Grouper-GL8E Motherboard built for HP and uses Intel i915G Northbridge and ICH6 Southbridge chip sets.

The drivers windows installs should be fine for that board. Just go into device manager and make sure there are no yellow flags as long as there isnt and all is running without errors then you good.

Don't fix what's not broken!! :)
