It seems like they have an easy one click overclock option in the bios,

but do I have to worry about temperatures and voltages?

why not use the auto settings?

it's the p8z68-v/gen 3 I think

because it will set ur voltage crazy high
work ur way up.
You can find lot's of guides here on toms and around the net
basically set ur ram voltage to whatever it's rated at .. usually 1.5
set cpu voltage to 1.25, set multi to 40 and run Prime while monitoring ur temps and vcore

he is good .. he got the pros :)

@OP
a little research and couple weeks of testing and I got stable OC of 4.8Ghz
but again it'll depend on the chip

I have a V version and when I tried the ASUS AI II utility, it OC'd to 4.4GHz without any problem and any other adjustment.

It clocked the RAM @ 1600MHz using XMP profile no questions asked.

Manually it can be done more efficiently.

Using auto OC are for noobs. Go to BIOS and make the adjustmentsthere if you are really PC enthusiasts.
