I'm running 2 570 2.5gb in SLI and I can't help but notice that 900mb vram is being used on each card when the system is idle. Is it normal cuz I don't see what the vram is being used on. How can people with 1gb cards put up with this when they play bf3 if the system drains 90% of their vram for no reason?

When you start up something like a game or anything that requires VRam, the system will automatically reallocate the ram to whatever program you are using.

when I run sc2, vram usage goes up to 1.7 gb on both cards. I can't imagine what would happen if I had the standard 1.2GB version
