ok i have the A8-3870 gpu and the ati radion hd 6970 2gb how do i set up the crossfire between them?

you can only cf the same gpus. ie 6970 with 6970.

@ Asurastrike, you could also crossfire a HD6950 or HD6990 with a HD6970.

@Valmordius as already stated you cannot crossfire a 3870 with a 6970.

The AMD APUs will only crossfire with certain cards, the 6450, 6570, and 6670.

Something like the 6900s would be too big of a difference between the 6550D built in

If you mean hybrid crossfire, there is specific 6XXX series that can be Crossfired with the A8-3870 integrated graphics.

If you're OCing, you might get a better CPU overclock if the integrated is disabled also.
