Forum Motherboards & Memory : FIC Motherboard upgrade

Hello,
New here to the forum. Looking to upgrade an old Gateway GT4016 that has a bad motherboard. Was wondering if anyone had a suggestion for a replacement. Was looking for a mobo/cpu combo. Wanted to salvage the existing ddr sdram modules I had. Any help would be appreciated.

If the motherboard looks like this one, you basically have no option other than buying a replacement KTBC51G: http://www.oemliquidators.com/sear [...] _id=105553

Even if it was a mATX motherboard, finding a new one that uses DDR would be nearly impossible.

Thanks much. Kinda thought that was the case.

Much appreciated!

What will you do? Replace the mobo or build a new system?

Still debating. Want to use it as a media center for my home entertainment center as I have a new desktop and thought this would be a cheap way around. Bought a good hdmi ready vid card and upgraded psu to handle the card. Hate to waste the money I have into it by building a new system if I can salvage this one.

I'd try to find a cheap KTBC51G replacement motherboard. If I couldn't, I'd start from scratch.
