I have a bit of a silly question on additional case fans.

I finally settled on which case I wanted for my pc. I decided on the NZXT Source 210 Elite. It doesnt come with a front intake fan so i plan on getting one, since i plan to game on it.

So my question is: After screw it in and attach it, how does the fan know to intake? Is it the fan specifically or is it a setting that is changed on the pc?

No, the fan has an orientation: in from one side out from the other. Many fans have arrows on their housings to indicate airflow direction, other have manuals that detail it. But if all else fails you run a test with it plugged in before you install it in the case.
