afaik 8150's 8 ghz record was done by using liquid nitrogen cooling somthing system and by disabling other cores. the overclock is for one, single core. not on all 8 cores.
with decent liquid cooling you might reach 5 ghz on rare occasions, typically between 4.6-4.8 ghz on all 8 cores. it will use a !@#$ load of power though.
8 ghz on single core doesn't have any real world benefit other than bragging rights.
your pc could use a display upgrade, imo.
