Yes it supports X-fire x8x8.
Dual x8 Gen 3 PCI Express 3.0 x16 boards.

im so lost..so it can do 3 card then? or 2 or 1 because it says 4 (x16 or dual x8 or x8, x16, x16. does it mean theres 1 16x and 2 8x ? sorry for being such a noob guys just dont wanna blow 330 on this board and not have it do what i need it to

Yep that's right one card will work full speed x16
Two will be x8x8.
Personally i'd buy a Gen 3 board with PCIE 3.0 slots = the 7970 is a Gen 3 gpu.
If you want x16x16 dual mode you have to go SB-E X79.
Dual x8 vs. x16 dual isn't a huge difference.
Don't know for sure about this new Gen 3 stuff though.

im just gonna quess that thats a yes it is better lol, now if i did do crossfire one in a 16x slot the other card in a 8 does that mean that the 8x card is only running half power?

Dude both will run a x8.
The performance hit is negligible less the 4% difference from a x16 x16 set-up.
Either you buy one card to run at full speed or you go for two at Dual x8.
