I7-2600K on Asus P7P67 WS Revolution. Multiplier doesnt change

Forum Overclocking : CPUs I7-2600K on Asus P7P67 WS Revolution. Multiplier doesnt change

Hello,

First of all I would like to say i am somewhat experienced in overclocking and I am not a newbie but i have been having a lot of problems with my new system:

M/B: Asus P7P67 WS Revolution
BIOS: from 9/2011 (latest)
CPU: I7 2600K
RAM : 16 GB (4x 4) Corsair 1600MHZ 9-9-9-24
VGA: 2x EvGA Gefoce 580 GTX with 3GB RAM ( again 3GB not 1.5)
PS: Coolermaster 1200W

OS: Ubuntu 11.10

Now my problem is, no matter what I do in the BIOS, the multiplier is always 34. No change.
I manually set the multiplier to 43, disabled EIST, EPU, TPU and all the other stuff, and when I reboot the multiplier is always 34. It never changes.

And because I am running Linux (work computer so I have to), Ican not try Asus AI suite in Windows.

Any ideas why the multiplier doesnt ever change?

Actually it looks to me like even when EIST is on multiplier is set at 34 and doesnt change.
Any help would be appreciated.
