Hey, I'm new to the overclocking scene.

I just built a new gaming rig and wanted to know if my parts are good enough to get my clock speeds to 4.5GHz or higher.

So here are my parts.

Processor: Intel i5 2500K
Motherboard: ASUS P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3
RAM: x2 - Corsair Vengeance Series 4GB DDR3-1600
CPU Cooler: Corsair H100
Case: NZXT Phantom Full Tower

How does it look?

Also, what programs should I be looking up so I can monitor my temps?

4.5ghz is fairly common, so probably.

I wrote a guide that might be of help.

Your components have the hardware capability to reach 4.5ghz as long as you have the knowledge to get 4.5ghz from them.

I almost have the same core components as you. Here's how I hit 4.5Ghz at 1.32V:
