i have kingston hyperx genesis (blue color) and i cant get it to post at 1600, reads 1333 in bios. I have an i7 2600 3.4 ghz, an intel dz68zv motherboard. How do i get it to 1600 like it says on the package?

SB only supports up to 1333. So you'll need to manually set your memory to 1600 on the bios.

i tried that and it still wont boot up.

Each module kit has been tested to run at DDR3-1600 at a low latency timing of 9-9-9-27 at 1.65V. The SPDs are programmed to JEDEC standard latency DDR3-1333 timing of 9-9-9 at 1.5V

So set it to that spec.

In your bios in the memory settings, turn on xmp1 or extreme profile.

akzim2012, did you try to set 1600 manual 1.65 v, and timings on auto? Or try 9-10-9-31

Reply to spike15_mk

It should be #27 in your bios. if Extreme Memory profile isn't shown then you may be right.
