What kind of memory are you using?

You probably will not make it to 4.0 GHz with a G41 motherboard. The G41 is an economy chipset with a limited FSB, genrally around 350 -360 MHz at the most.

I have an E7500. The best I can do in one of my G41 boards is 3.87 GHz. The same chip will reach 4.1 GHz in my P35 motherboard.

This should be your first stop.

It's for an EP35-DS3L but all the Gigabyte Core2 BIOS's are similar.

Go through the guides. Then take your core voltage off Auto and set your memory voltage to factory recommended values. Change the System Memory Multiplier (or whatever your BIOS calls it) from AUTO to 2.00 or the lowest available - may be 2.40 - if you are using DDR2 RAM. If you are using DDR3 RAM set the multiplier to 4.0. Then when you increase the FSB, the memory clock will rise in the proper proportion with it. At an FSB of 266 MHz, your memory clock should be at 533 MHz (DDR2) or 1066 MHz for DDR3.

Intel's max recommended voltage is 1.45 volts. Max recommended temps are 70 C.

I really like the combination of Core2 processors and Gigabyte motherboards.
GA-EP45-UD3P | Q9550 OC'd to 3.6 GHz (425 MHz X 8.5) C3 stepping :(
GA-EP45-UD3L | Q6600 OC'd to 3.6 GHz (400 MHz X 9)
GA-EP35-DS3P | E7500 OC'd to 4.1 GHz (373 MHz X 11)
GA-G41M-ES2L | E6500 OC'd to 3.87 GHz (352 MHz X 11) limited by motherboard

I have the same chipset G41 on my MB (GIGABYTE - GA-P41T-D3P) but I am using ADATA 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 1333 (PC3 10700) what are my options here?!! in overclocking my E7500
