Hi guys!
I'm running a Mugen2 heatsink/fan on my i5-2500k. The mobo is an ASUS P8P67
Most times when I turn it on when the computer's been off for awhile, as it boots up I get a "CPU Fan error Press F1 for setup" which brings me to my bios screen. On the bios, the cpu fan is always in the red because it's running below 500 RPM.
Without changing any settings, I exit the bios and it boots up fine BUT this an annoying extra step each time I turn the computer on.

I'm not sure if this is an issue with the Mugen (should I just go fanless?), or a bios/mobo setting?

Thanks for your help!

In BIOS there is an option asking whether or not to alert you if the fan is running slow. Since you are not using the stock cooler, BIOS thinks your fan is running too slow. If you are sure your fan is fine, disable this feature. You'll have to look through Bios for that option, won't take long.
