Changing the BIOS when purchasing new Memory

Forum Overclocking : Memory Changing the BIOS when purchasing new Memory

Hey everyone.

Well previously I had some 1333MHz Memory installed in my machine. I recently purchased some Kingston Memory that runs at 1600MHz.

I have just been looking around in my BIOS, and have realised that the Memory clock is currently at "x6.66" making the memory speed 1333MHz.

Fairly straight forward really, do I need to change the clock to "x8" to receive the 1600MHz speed that my Memory can run at?

Thanks

Andy
