guyz is the i5 second generation processor worth it if not plz tell me which core i5 second generation processor is equivalent to an amd processor and which motherboard would go with it

i am looking in a gaming perspective of view so which ever u suggest would be very hlpfull coz i have never used any amd proceesor and ppl are suggesting me to buy it coz its cheap and better but i want to know frm u guyz so i dont get duped and i am looking for a second generation one

i5 2nd gen is alot better than all of AMD current cpu's particular i5 2500k.

You are in the Overclocking forum so I am guessing you mean the i5-2500K. , Overclocked in a Z68 motherboard, it will beat any AMD processor if you can afford it.

There's a lot of hope among AMD fans that a Win7 patch will restore some of the hoped for speed. In that case, who knows?

you should go with z68 chipset like asus p8z68 v-pro with i5 2500k or even 2500.

guyz they are telling me to go for amd x4 970 procesor instead for a core i5 2320 second gen should i go with it or not

so guyz in the end what do you all suggest i am looking in a gaming view not too costly no overclocking just good gaming experience

between phenom ii x4 970 and core i5 2320, the 2320 is better.
