TMPIN 0 103C
TMPIN 1 92C
TMPIN 2 117C

Since those temperatures can boil water . . . are they safe? (I assume "no" ) Do you think they are accurate?

I also was using AMD Overdrive (when it was detecting these temperature inputs) to monitor my temperatures as well as HWMonitor, and they both had the same readings for TMPIN.

If you think they are not accurate, is it a sensor issue? program issue?

System Specs:
Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3
AMD FX-6100 (overclocked initially to 4.4ghz using only multiplier, these screenshots were taken when clocked to 3.6ghz with 1.25Vcore)
G-Skill DDR3 8gb 1600mhz RAM
750W Ultra Power Supply
XFX Radeon 6870 Video Card
Zalman HSU 120mm fan

Thanks.

they will fry your cpu and board

if you do not want to cook something then keep them below 60'c

remount your heat sink, and clean old paste and use new arctic silver paste and apply only right amount of paste

these temp are definately not safe (i thinj they have caused damage)

TMPIN temperatures are often displayed incorrectly in RealTemp

Check other temperature reading software.

TMPIN1 for eg. is for your CPU - now your core temps are reading much lower. This means your CPU is fine.

I Strongly reccomend CoreTemp before making any assumptions.

Well my concern is that the TMPINs seem to give me stable readings most of the time. Most of the time TMPIN 0 is 27C at max load, TMPIN 1 is 34C at max load, and TMPIN 2 is 43C at max load.
But sometime the Temperatures will suddenly spike to like 80C +
But when the spike occurs it typically occurs for like a second or two and then the temperature falls back down near 27C, 34C, 43C respectively depending on the TMPIN.

Could it be a sensor problem? I will monitor with other programs and upload screenshots.

sudden spikes is a software fault, use newest monitoring software, now no need to worry

When you say newest monitoring software do you mean newest version of whatever software? or do you recommend a certain new software that is best?

newest version and best one too (not beta version)

like hwinfo32, pcwizard, occt, or any other

I found hwinof32 and used the program, but it recorded these temperatures when I was playing Heroes of Newerth.

Any thoughts? I am pretty sure they are spikes because I would imagine if the temperature was actually that hot that the system would fail.

they are due to software errors, software are unable to grab true info (for some time) from sensors

enable logging of these readings and read them , if these temps are occuring only for few seconds then they are only reading errors

no need to worry
