Forum Overclocking : Intel Are these stats OK?

Hello,

I have just built my first system using:

Processor: Intel Core i5 - 2500k
Motherboard: MSI P67A-GD65
Video Card: EVGA Nvidia GTX 560 Ti (Super Clocked)
PSU: Corsair Enthusiast Series TX850 V2 850W
Heatsink: Cooler Master Hyper 212+
Memory: G.Skill 8GB (2 X 4 GB) Ripjaws Series
Hard Drive: 1TB Samsung Spinpoint F3
Case: Antec 900

When I tried to overclock manually, using guides from Youtube, it said that my hard drive failed whenever I tried to boot the system and I got a blue screen.

Instead, I used the OC Genie to overclock to 4.2 Ghz and it was successful. I ran Prime95 for about 10+ hours and it was good. Core Temp gave me a maximum temp of about 60 degrees Celsius. Idle temps are about 35 - 42 degrees Celsius.

Now, what is the next step after this? Are these temperatures safe and what happens to the Intel Turbo Boost?

Those temperatures are safe. The point of no return for the CPU is around 80-90. 60 is just fine. I would imagine that your turbo boost would be unaffected.
