Hey everybody, i'm asking what would be the best settings for over clocking my cpu would be. I've never actually overclocked a cpu so im afraid of messing up my components - At the moment i'm just using AMD OverDrive for this

List of my computer components

Motherboard - Asus M5A99XEVO
CPU - AMD Phenom II X6 1055t
RAM - 2 x 2gb Kingston Hyper X Blu Series w/Heat Spreader DDR3 1333Mhz (Ordered another 4gb)
GPU - ATI Radeon Saphire 5570 1gb
Cooling - Asetek 510LC Water cooling w/120mm Radiator
PSU - Coolermaster 750Watt

Any useful input would be nice :) Thanks.

I know this is a long way to do this BUT once you've wread all of this and you understand how to overclock, youll never need to read it again:

This will not help for the OP, he doesn't have a BE CPU.

Raise the CPU frequency 10Mhz at a time, while lowering the NB and HT multipliers to keep them below 2000Mhz.

Also keep an eye on your RAM timing. Don't let it get above it's rated speed. Lower the multiplier if needed.

I used to have a 1055t, should be able to easily run at 250X14 (3.5Ghz) with no increase to voltage.

hey. You should be able to raise it to 4ghz easy. Using bios, set bus speed to 287, raise voltage to 1.48. Make sure you adjust northbridge and ht settings so u don't fry your motherboard. use cpu-z to check results after sucessful post and boot up.

Also disable turbo core, cool N quiet etc...
