ASUS Maximus IV Gene-Z, Intel Core i5-2500K Sandy Bridge

I'm building my first desktop, mainly for music production some video editing and some gaming.
I've done a lot of research over the last couple days and I've decided that I'm going to go with the

Is that a good combo so far?
with the maximus iv gene-z mobo, will i be able to add a nice video card? as well as adding sound card?
there is so much to choose from, but would be the rest of the parts to add to make this a good build? ram, ssd etc.

The link for th mobo is not working. If you are looking at the Z68 model ov the Maximus IV Gene-Z there is one caution: it does not allow you to use the native GPU on the intel chip so you have to get a video card.

Yes, it has pleanty of room for a video card and a sound card.
