Hello,
I have a canon SD 1000,8mxpl digital camera.I am unable to import the pictures and videos to my computer. It says there are no new pictures or videos to be imported. Kindly suggest a remedy.

Are you able to mount the card on your computer? If card is not getting mounted then it might be possible that the card is damaged. Try with some third party tool to read your pictures from the card. Hope it may help.

Please use a card reader to connect the SD card to a computer. It should appear as "Removable Drive", open it and see if there are pictures. If you don't see anything, please use one of the recovery software (free trial) to help you get the pictures from the device. http://www.recovery-programs.com/recover-photos.html

You may try to recover your files from card using Card Reader as suggested above by getbeta2000-003.
