hi guys,

I want to over clock my 5670 using the overdrive future in the control center, according to the 5670 review on toms, it gives a considerable boost, and Im hoping to play Battlefield 3 with it. does OC really shorten a cards life though? I never OCed anything before and just wanted to ask.

and do I have hope to get around 40 fps at medium settings on 1680*1050?

So guys do you think its worth overclocking? or is it gonna be painfully slow running BF3 anyway?

i have played BF3 and COD MW3 on my 5670 1gb card...both runs smoothly on my system

core i3 560 3.34ghz
4gb Ram
win 7 ultimate

you should configure ur card setting CCC.... no need to overclock as its risky... Mine is working so fine

It will be fine with BF3 at low, maybe some medium. You could probably run medium or high textures since that's more VRAM related. Nvidia posted a great tweak guide for BF3 you can google.

As for the overclocking itself, you can read this:
