Im looking for the Old windows xp sound recorder,the one in window 7 has very little effects.

I dont need any thing that complicated, Ive tried it before but I have cakewalk 1.5 and that will work once I figure it out, Just want the old recorder that came with 98, XP.

I do have xp on another computer so I can get said file and email it my self but dont know which one in the system 32 folder.

Seems to be a conflict of opinion. MS Guy says it won't work; However, a user says it does. Here is what the user did.

I just copied sndrec32.exe from an XP machine onto my Win7 64-bit install and it works great!
