Sector 2 Sector Whole disk clone with Win7 & XP dual boot XP wont boot

Forum Windows XP : Configuration & Customization Sector 2 Sector Whole disk clone with Win7 & XP dual boot XP wont boot

I had a dual boot with Win7 primary and XP on logical drive X on my HP PC with RAID controler. Is a INTEL Core2 2.33GHz Quad and had 2 ea. 1TB drives. C was/is 7200rpm and 2nd drive was 5400rpm. 8GB RAM with a NVIDIA GeFORCE GT 520 add in Graphics card. Internal & external CD/DVD writers. Win7 home ver & XP is also Home ver with serv pack 3.

ALSO: system came with VISTA and then got an upgrade to 7 disk. I HAD to install Vista 1st, then added XP, fixed boot xp EasyBCD, then used upgrade disk to 7, ALL WORKED FINE TO THIS POINT, then copied sector to sector whole disk(don't remember EaseUS or PLOP).

XP& 7 were both working prior to copy, after copy XP on X drive would no longer boot. Attempted to load XP disk to repair the boot and then started to boot with XP start up screen but then blue screen error lock up not even cntl/alt/Del would work had to use power button.

Copied boot.ini, ntldr, & NTDETECT.COM to the logical X drive root and changed the drive to X using EasyBCD, now it just shows boot menu goes off as if to boot screen blanks for a while and then comes back to the boot menu.

PS, after the copy I removed the 5400 RPM drive to keep as a back up to reinstall if needed. WHole reason for copy was so I could avoid what I just had to do, IE reinstall LOTS of software on this and my other pc single drive Old Dell inspiron1100 notebook pent4 XP all works fine on it after copy.

What have I missed, I thought the boot.ini had to read:
[boot loader]
timeout=5
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(3)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(3)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition" /fastdetect /NoExecute=OptIn

AND be in the root C: drive as well as ntldr and NTDETECT.COM

I reinstalled XP over the COPIED drive with original Win XP disk, and it then booted to XP fine, but shortly after many many errors on 7 and had to RECOPY the 5400rpm drive back to 7200 and all is fine now. Never got to reinstalling all the software on the REINSTALL XP. Boot files are infact or were in the root C all 3 of them?
HELP PLEASE
