Forum Windows XP : Configuration & Customization Change default view to open files to "details" permantly

Hi,
It's a big time waster for me to open a file in MS Office or Adobe Acrobat and then change the view to "details" - sorted by most recent date permanently.
Have tried it with changing the folder view in control panel but next restart it reverts to same old screen.

Thanks,

Jack D.

Register or log in to remove.

While in windows explorer with the folders showing Details, go to Tools>Options>View tab, make your selections - then press the Apply to All Folders. Then press the Apply button, and then press the OK button.

Thanks, but I've tried that & it's only temporary.
