I'm trying to make xp 32 bit work on a sansui lcd tv's pc input. It works while xp is loading, but the logon screen never comes up. I was previously using a pc with vista, and it worked fine. The video res. is set to one of the settings that is in the tv manual. ???

It sounds like your PC is using a screen mode that is not supported by the TV. You need to boot into Safe Mode, then reset the screen resolution to something simple like 1024x768 60Hz refresh, then try again. Once you are in you can find the optimum screen resolution.
