I5 2500k w/ EVGA superclock cpu cooler

i've seen the product and i can fit the cooler in my case however i've been wondering if the cooler will keep it stable, is this the best way to go on a budget? or up the ante on something like an H60
i'd like to try out at least 4.3 Ghz OC

go for the alc (Advanced liquid cooling)
The antec and corsair are pretty good with that.

Go for the corsair H100 Its twice as big but it will do the job very well. Goodluck

For 4.3Ghz you won't need very hard cooling as the i5 is a hell of an overclocker. People even report they can do it on the stock cooler!

But if you need nice cooling anyways, I'd say get the Zalman CNPS 9900MAX, 11x Extreme or the Thermaltake Frio.

Overclocking my 2500K i5 with the EVGA Superclock. 1.3V at 4.5GHz with a max temperature of 68C (and that's with Prime95 and IBT). I highly recommend the cooler, unless you're water clocking your graphics card as well, at which point you might benefit from the reduced noise with an H80/H100.

i agree. i have my 2500k at 4.2 with my cheap freezer pro 7 i got for $20. keeps its idle at 31c and on prime at 68c. during gaming and all types of use i max at 52c

I have Zalman 9900 MAX and so far only have it 4Ghz
keeps me idle at 21-23C and while playing games ~ 48C

I've used a 9900 max and I can vouch for it, it's really good. Hit 4.5ghz on a 2500k with surprisingly low temps. It is huge, though.

I found it on sale for like $30 off or something, so it was a really awesome deal.

I have it set up so it blows up so hot air comes out naturally of the top of the case

does your arc midi allow good airflow madchem? ive been looking into that case.

It does. I keep fans on about 40% and it's pretty quiet. Full speed though it's loud but not too much. If u gaming won't hear a thing. And I can see significant change in temp from low fan speed to high ~ 6C.

Im pretty sure it'll fit. It's listed as being 160mm tall.

More of a concern should be if it will fit on your motherboard, particularly depending on the RAM. If you use 4 ram sticks, I wouldn't count on it.

You can always use low profile ram.
