BSOD issue with hal.dll

Hey guys, i'm getting a issue with my computer. Ever since i opened up my computer, and tried out my card in the second pci-e slot to see if i could SLI it in the case i put the graphics card i was using in the second pci-e slot, then switched it to the first slot, nothing to major. But when i booted it up, it said NEW CPU installed set up in BIOS, my computer was overclocked but set it self back to default values, which was a little strange. But that's not the issue. Ever since i've tried that i've been getting a hal.dll BSOD 0124x which to my knowleadge is a hardware complaint or failure which is bizzare to me since it worked perfect before i opened it up.

The thing is, it only happens when playing games, or anything intense graphicaly or flash player ect. Which leads me to think something is wrong with the GPU or the overclock vaules in my BIOS have got the voltage wrong and messing with my system which could be a possiblilty, but i don't see why? It worked perfect before and i reset the bios bvack to default then maunally set the values to my overclock back to normal. Anyway. The BSOD code is.

550w coolermaster PSU
I5 760 3.8 ghz
6gb RAM 1333 mhz. Kingston.
HD 6870.
ASUS Maximus GENE III. Mobo.

unplug power Ac from PSU , remove battery in mobo let 10 minutees , put it back .. try turn on system

you need uninstall driver VGA and sound if still BSOD install fresh OS

Swapped PSU, get better from good brand like corsair, antec , xfx or seasoni and other psu had good review from jonnuguru /hardwaresecreet/kitguru/

Actually Your psu is bad .. It's cooler master not good efficien maybe drop at voltage too much . That like oc error 0x00000000124 not enough vcore

i had a hal.dll bsod also --- oc'my 2500k to 4.5ghz with vid set to 1.36 ...then i lowered vid to 1.356 and forgot about it .....a week later started having bsod's then remembered the vid, reset it to 1.36 and all is stable again --- anyway not sure what your settings should be but i'd check the voltages.....
