Hi all i have problem with my machine that am quite baffle about so here goes.system is approximately 3 yrs old,symptoms am experiencing is that xp hangs on the desktop which makes everything inaccessible but the mouse doesnt freeze

things ive done & problems still persist:

reformat
Changed Ram
Re-appled thermal paste
Updated bios

machine works good in safe mode though,is something conflicting>?much help would be appreciated

Get into event viewer & see what errors are reported.

You said you could get into Safe Mode.

Windows restore to date when ok, or repair install the OS.
