GIGABYTE Guide

Dear th and Forum
I have just put together the components for my first build.
Mobo:GB GA-x58A-UD3R Rev.1
Intel 950 3.06
Kingston 1600 DDR3 6 Gbs
Corsair 750 PSU
Liteon sata optical dr.
WD 5002AALX Sata6.0 hdd's (2)
EVGA 450 video card
Win7 home premium 64bit.

I want to set my hdd's to raid0 and I am looking for the best results in setting these up. Sata2_0 and 1 or Gsata7_and 6. In the manual it says to install the drivers on a floppy and I'm not sure which driver to use. Thanking you in advance for any help.

  1. Hello Dean.. Welcome to Tom's Hardware...

Here is some information you can find out about Gigabyte motherboards here: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/275856-30-gigabyte-guide

Also, please edit your post and remove your personal email address. It is against the Forum Rules in the lower right hand corner of the page. You don't want all the SPAM you may receive my posting it here :D
  2. If I read the byte guide correctly with the installation of win 7 it has the necessary native drivers and I won't have to make a sata raid/AHCI driver disk. I thank you for the welcome and direction.
