So, i have this PSU from a gateway FX530... and i am wondering if it has any future (power supplies is my only weakness regarding computers)

its a Delta 700w with he following specs

Input 100 - 127 V ~ 12 A; 47 Hz - 63 Hz
Autorange 200 - 240 V ~ 6 A; 47 Hz - 63 Hz

Output +3.3 V / 24.0 A
+12 V1 / 18.0 A
+12 V2 / 16.0 A
+12 V3 / 18.0 A
+12 V4 / 18.0 A
+5 VSB / 3.0 A
+5.0 V / 24.0 A
-12 V / 0.5 A

+5 V and +3.3 V total output not to exceed 140 W
Maximum combined load on +12 V is 50 A
Maximum total continuous output power is 700 W

I know it was used to power qx6700 and 2 x1950 in crossfire

It's not a top rated brand, but it may work fine with a single video card and hardrive setup. I like corsair, pc power and cooling, antec, seasonic, ocz, and enermax, but none of these are cheap.

Should be OK, as long as it gets close to its rated output.

It's the same Delta that provides the platform for most of the Earthwatts lineup and the Signature series.

Welcome to Tom's Hardware Forums! For low end computers, all manufacturers use cheap...
