Raising HT speed won't increase performance at all.

More often than not raising the HT speed will cause instability. It's best to just keep it at or near it's rated speed.

then should i just increase the multiplier??

Just make sure (multiplier x reference clock) doesn't go much above 1800. Just look up a guide like "phenom II overclocking" on google

1 more thing . i am planning to get a scythe ultra kaze 300 rpm fan for my ocz vendetta 2. will it fit??? plz let me know asap

Reply to sid_nag17

sorry 3000 rpm

Reply to sid_nag17

^ it should do but it won't make much difference since the vendetta 2 isn't a good enough cooler to make use of all that airflow.

Just buy a True and be done with it.

the vendetta isn't better than either of those coolers,

the sunbeam is one the top 10 coolers, and the zalman 9900 is amazing at most platforms but is poor when it comes to i7, but that's irrelevant since you aren't using i7.

as jaydeejohn said, get a TRUE and that 3K fan or get a Noctua NH-U12P with a couple of those 3K's.

Those 2 are the best for P2

P2's hate the heat, but love voltage. Cant use voltage if heats there. Get 1 of these coolers and youll be fine. Youll end up with much higher clocks, and even lower volts, plus better stability

i already have purchased the vendetta 2 and am using it with the supplied fan and thermal paste.

thats why wanted to buy the scythe fan and ocz freeze. will these help loering down temps furthur?

Reply to sid_nag17

will the arctic mx-2 be a better option compared to ocz freeze?

Reply to sid_nag17

^ no, currently OCZ freeze is the best out there by a good 3C, but we'll have to see how MX-3 does.

Reply to Helloworld_98

ok so i will go with thw ocz freeze and any more advice on the fan??

Reply to sid_nag17

Well, thermals pates are rougly the same in terms of performance (3rd party ones). All of them smash stock paste.

so how much will the ocz freeze help in reducing temps??? and will the scythe fan help???

Reply to sid_nag17

The fan included should be fine, a better one which pushes more air probably won't be much better.
