Hey all,
I just bought an Antec earthwatts 430W power supply that was on sale the other day at Newegg. In my haste, I neglected to determine how many 6-pin PCI-E power connectors it had. Unfortunately, it only has one.

My question: Do any of you know of a good adapter for converting another of my power supply's connectors into a 6-pin?

You can use this one, it uses the molex 4 pin to convert it to the PCI-e 6 pin plug. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6812201004

I've been looking around, and it seems like some graphics cards come with 6-pin Y-splitters. Is this true/common? Will most GPUs that require two power connectors come with a splitter, so that I won't need more than one 6-pin cable on my PSU?

I'm not entirely sure if the one 6-pin cable from the PSU will be able to power two ports. If it were then there should only be one on the GPU anyways. I think you'd need two separate plugs.

Yeah, you're probably right, but what about molex to PCI-E adapters? Do graphics cards usually come with those? Some of the product photos on Newegg look like they have them, but I can't find it anywhere in writing.

No usually they don't, high performance GPUs require a nice and high quaity PSU. That PSU will probably be enough to power the cards anyways.

It looks like the Sapphire and HIS HD 4890s do come with adapters, so I should be okay. Thankfully, those are also the two cheapest 4890s on Newegg right now.
