Hey, I bought a Dell Vostro 220 with vista home edition. I am trying to reimage the computer of a Dell vostro 200 that had xp but it doesn't work. can anyone help me out? Thanks.

do you really think microsoft would let you use the same OS twice when you only paid for it once ?

or to put it another way : it wont work

when you say reimage, do you mean you're trying to copy an image of the whole system?

This is a pig of a process (trust me, part of my job) and fiendish on 2 dissimilar systems.

Yea I copied an image of another Dell vostro 200 and I am trying to restore that Image on this Dell Vostro 220.
