I'm running Windows 7 64 my OS hdd is a WD 500gb sata3. It says it has a 3Gb/s transfer rate but when I copy files to my HDD windows shows the xfer rate at 70MB/s shouldn't I be getting close to 400MB/s? Not sure if the rest of my rig matters for this question but just in case I'm running i7 OC'd to 3.6, 6GB ram, evga x58 sli mobo, evga 265gtx sli corsair 850W. I also have 2 1TB WD HDD's.

Thanks :wahoo:

The interface is that fast, but the harddrive your using isn't. SATAIII is more for newer SSDs coming out then spinning disks.
