More Information

Hi, I can easily overclock my BFG 8800GT OC to 720/1800/2000 and run 3D vantage fine, play bioshock and see no artifacts in the ATI scan.

However, I read somewhere that these speeds will eventually degrade the GPU, especially the 2000Mhz Memory clock.

Should I decrease the speeds to 700/1750/1950 to be on the safe side?

Thanks

Your memoryis rated for 2000 mHz. it was designed to run that fast.

The rest shouldn't have any effect if your are not artifiacting. If the tempcs stay under 90C and there are no are artifacts, you are not doing any damage.
