Hi guys my question is how can I overclock my 4850 past 700core clock. I saw posts with people vold modding their cards to get them stable for higher clocks but is there a way to not do anything physical to the card? I know 4800 series run warm and I got sapphire 4850 witch includes aftermarket heatsink. Back to topic is there way to flash the bios of a card to increase the voltage and not solder some parts to it physically?

I think just by using ATI Tray Tools you can. Haven't tried it yet though so i am not 100% sure.

Newest version of rivatuner now supports these cards. That'll do it.

umm the card is seriously unstable when i go over 700......you need to increase the voltages ;/

Guess you found the cards OC limit then. Dont push it unless you want to damage the card permanently.

ATI Tray Tools has an option to increase the voltage of the core. Should try that if you think your card can take the temperature in.

Good luck!

And yes, it can run Crysis.

but never go more than .05 volts at a time!!!!
.05 netted me almost 100MHz on my card. You should pay real close attention to your temps with this mod. Especially with the 4850 cooler sucking as bad as it does.

^^^ i agree
I also found last night that Gigabytes' EasyTune will let you overclock the core to over 800MHz+ ! Haven't tried it yet, but i might bench a little bit tonight, so i might give it a try.
ATITT (voltage) + EasyTune (clocks) = Sounds like Win-Win!
