I have an

  • Antec 900
  • QX6850
  • OCZ Reaper HPC 2x2GB

I am wondering about cooling and clearance for cpu coolers and video cards.

I plan to overclock this processor and really see how far it can go. I'm assuming it will get very hot. I am also looking at getting:

  • 4870 XOC Black Edition
  • ASUS Rampage Formula x48 Motherboard

I know the 4870 already runs hot. (have heard about fan mod)

What CPU cooler will run somewhat quietly and provide high cooling while fitting in case?

Will 4870 even FIT in antec 900?

Will corsair 750TX have enough headroom to eventually CF 2 of the video cards? Does it have the right connections?

Thanks.

1. Most LGA775 coolas will fit the mobo & case. There's quite a bit of space between the socket & ram. I'm aware of the height of the ram sinks.

2. Most def. Even 2 GTX 200's. Maybe cramped.

3. Yep, the HD 4870 uses the older 2x6-pin PCI-E plug. The GTX 200's use the 2x8-pin PCI-E plug, FWIW.
